Raised in a musical family, Marcello regularly performs with his father Ross Maio (accordion virtuoso) in 'From Caruso to Bocelli' and 'Viva La Fisarmonica Show'. He is a three-time winner of the National Accordion Championships (2001–2003) in both the pop/jazz and solo performance sections. Marcello is also a member of the highly acclaimed Sydney based ensembles The Tango Saloon and Monsieur Camembert.
