As a leading specialist in early flutes, Mellissa is a highly sought after musician and is Principal flute with the Sydney-based Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, a core member of the Australian Haydn Ensemble, and the founding member of the Notos Wind Quintet, Australia's premier historical woodwind quintet. Melissa also performs and records regularly with Pinchgut Opera, Ironwood, Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO), Latitude 37, The Marais Project, The Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra, Luduvico’s Band and Sinfonia Australis. Currently, Melissa is lecturer in period flute at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. ​
